We have grown to be one of the most trusted and respected metal fabricators in the northeast. By utilizing an early supplier involvement system, we assist in creating more manufacturable designs and cost savings. Currently employing a staff of over 90, our employees are our greatest asset. Component Engineers Inc. (CEI) is a second generation family owned and operated business.

What We Do:

Our goal is to be a one stop solution for our customers. Since founded in 1980, CEI has been delivering the highest quality precision metal components. Our focus is centered on our customer’s standards of consistent quality, on-time delivery, and customer service. CEI meets these standards better than any other stamping or machining house in the region. Our dedicated team understands the ongoing demand for cost efficient manufacturing, regulatory conformance, compatibility with subsequent assemblies, and rapid deployment to market.

Investment in Technology:

CEI invests yearly in top of the line equipment, thereby continuously improving our processes and capabilities. Since 2006, we have implemented on-floor SPC data collection, improved digital video inspection, purchased state-of-the-art wire EDM and CNC machining centers, and replaced our secondary line with four brand new presses. All equipment is calibrated and maintained per manufacturers’ specifications and all CAD and CAM software is continuously upgraded with the latest versions available. We have implemented the principles of lean manufacturing and six sigma.

Our Facility:

Our 34,000 square foot facility in Wallingford, CT is maintained per medical and aerospace cleanliness standards. Since we completed our 2005 renovation, our physical capacities have increased and we incorporated new manufacturing and design capabilities.
